Listings for MKIV Supra (1993-2002) (315)
The MKIV Toyota Supra officially began production in April of 1993 and is the 4th and last generation of the Toyota Supra. This newest generation Supra was completely redesigned featuring two engine options: The naturally aspirated (non-turbo) 2JZ-GE producing 220hp and 210 lb-ft of torque and the twin turbo Supra, 2JZ-GTE, producing 320 hp and 315 lb-ft of torque. With the twin turbo model going from 0-60 mph in 4.6 second and quater mile time of 13.1 seconds at 109mph the Toyota Supra twin turbo was one of the fastest production vehicles of its time. As an iconic sports car the Supra has made an appearance in numerous video games and movies such as The Fast and the Furious, Gran Turismo, Need for Speed and Grand Theft Auto among others. Toyota halted the production of the MKIV Supra in the U.S. in 1998 and 2002 in Japan. Rumors of a 5th generation Supra have been circulating for many years now. Although no official word from Toyota has been given on a 5th generation, some reports mention the chief engineer of the Toyota 86/Scion FR-S telling reporters that "the president [of Toyota] has asked me to make a successor to the Supra as soon as possible".
